Job Description

  • Module Lead (Mandatory skill: Azure Fabric)
  • Location: Remote
  • As a Module Lead, the role will be working with our data engineering team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will act as the technical owner for modules or components of the data platform, manage day-to-day team tasks, and serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the engineering team to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. This role blends deep hands-on data engineering skills with technical leadership.
  • Own and lead development for specific modules within the data platform using Azure Data Factory, OneLake, Synapse,
  • and related tools.
  • Translate business and analytical requirements into scalable data models and solutions.
  • Guide, mentor, and support junior and mid-level data engineers, ensuring best practices are followed across the
  • team.
  • Coordinate module-level planning, estimation, sprint execution, and delivery within a Kanban or Agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with SME analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure high-impact outcomes.
  • Enforce data governance, documentation, and quality standards using tools like MS Purview.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure platform stability, security, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the broader data roadmap and bring innovation in tools, practices, and architecture.
  • Skills and Experience | Essential
  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer with demonstrated ability to lead a functional module or domain.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric stack: Azure Data Factory, OneLake, Synapse, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience with Medallion Architecture and implementing modular, reusable data pipelines.
  • Sound understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and ETL principles.
  • Leadership qualities with an ability to coach and guide technical team.
  • Agile (Kanban/Scrum) delivery experience
  • Microsoft certified Fabric DP-600 or DP-700 is big plus , plus any other relevant Azure Data certification is
  • advantage
  • Skills and Experience | Desirable
  • Experience in MS Purview for data governance and cataloging.
  • Prior experience working with Retail Data or the Microsoft Retail Industry Data Model.
  • Exposure to or involvement in Fabric rollout initiatives.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, cost optimization, and production troubleshooting in cloud environments.
