  • Project Overview:
  • Our client, a prominent organization based in Oxford, is seeking a highly skilled Twilio SendGrid Expert to support a critical communications initiative. The project aims to deliver high-volume, transactional email updates�ranging from 3 to 10 million emails annually�to customers subscribed to order line notifications.
  • The SendGrid solution will be integrated with Salesforce (SFDC) and connected via MuleSoft. Early-stage shaping was completed using Marketing Cloud; however, due to scale and technical considerations, the client has shifted focus to Twilio SendGrid and now requires expert guidance for architecture and implementation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical and architectural design of the Twilio SendGrid email solution.
  • Implement best practices for scalable and reliable email delivery, with a strong focus on email deliverability and avoiding spam traps.
  • Design, build, and configure Twilio SendGrid components to meet business needs.
  • Develop and test custom email templates for order line update notifications.
  • Work closely with Salesforce and MuleSoft teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
  • Provide technical support and optimization guidance during UAT and Hypercare phases.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven hands-on experience with Twilio SendGrid setup, configuration, and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of email deliverability best practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, IP warming, reputation management).
  • Experience building responsive email templates using SendGrid�s template engine or code editor.
  • Understanding of high-volume email sending strategies (throttling, batching, A/B testing).
  • Experience working in Waterfall project environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Salesforce platform knowledge (Sales/Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud).
  • MuleSoft integration experience, particularly with Salesforce or external APIs.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards for email (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
