Job Description

  • MS SQL Database Architect
  • Project required to work upon
  • 1. Split the one big SQL DB into multiple smaller DB and maintaining the entity sanctity
  • 2. SQL Scripting and versioning process to the release
  • 3. Migrate East DB data to west DB and eliminate east DB
  • 4. Once DB is split migrate data to MongoDB (This would also require Dev team
  • involvement)
  • Required Skills
  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server - T-SQL
  • Experience with data modelling, database design principles
  • Ability to write and execute complex SQL scripts for data manipulation, querying, and
  • reporting.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for databases using tools like Git or equivalent
  • Analyse database landscapes to identify migration challenges, risks, and opportunities,
  • translating these into technical specifications and migration plans.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of proposed
  • migration solutions with technical capabilities and product roadmaps.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, migration plans, and proposals,
  • articulating migration strategies, methodologies, and expected outcomes clearly.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in database migration,
  • ensuring the proposed solutions incorporate cutting-edge methodologies and
  • technologies.
  • Planning and executing data migration projects, including moving data from existing
  • systems to DB like Mongo DB.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to speak to various stakeholders/Team like Dev Team, DBA, Solution architects,
  • business analyst etc.
  • Leadership and mentorship qualities.

Required Skills
