Job Description
- *Job Title:* Kronos Developer
- *Job location:* Remote
- *Experience:* 8-10 Years
- *Timings:* 02:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on configuration/system administrator experience in Kronos 8.1 version or greater is required;
- handling all system configuration and support the application itself including WIM and with Kronos Cloud platform a product of UKG.
- The purpose of this job is to provide application support for Kronos Cloud platform.
- Activities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting user requests or issues
- Resolving system and data problems, performing routine system maintenance, maintaining error logs and resolving data and interface errors, testing of system changes, preparation of design specs and test scripts, loading of data, and reporting with special focus on system configuration within the Kronos cloud application.
- *Key Responsibilities:*
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software applications and services for UKG�s suite of workforce management solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, depending on the project needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality engineers, and UI/UX designers, to define product features, deliver new functionality, and improve existing systems.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, debug code, and enhance application performance.
- Contribute to the development of technical specifications and design documentation.
- Adhere to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and version control (Git).
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint retrospectives.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, methodologies, and tools to improve the development process.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and UKG product offerings to ensure the development of competitive and innovative solutions.
- Work with UKG Kronos APIs and other relevant integration points to enable data exchange and business workflows.
- Assist in the maintenance of existing integrations, ensuring they are aligned with any updates or changes to UKG Kronos or external systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for integration solutions, including detailed specifications, process flows, and user guides, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and security best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing of integration solutions, ensuring accuracy and reliability, and perform system validation in coordination with QA teams.
- Stay updated with emerging integration technologies and best practices, continuously improving the efficiency, scalability, and maintainability of integrations.
- *Qualifications:*
- Bachelor�s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in software development, with expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with modern software frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Spring, .NET).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and knowledge of data modeling and query optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in workforce management, human capital management, or enterprise software is a plus but not required.
