Job Description

  • INFORMATICA Developer (7+ Years, Hybrid,

  • Location: Bangalore
  • Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years total, with at least 5 years relevant ETL/SQL experience
  • Role Overview
  • We are hiring a seasoned Informatica Developer to design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows in a regulated, high-volume banking environment. You will manage transformation logic, enforce data quality, align with enterprise data modeling standards, and ensure performance at scale. The role demands strong SQL fluency, Unix proficiency, and hands-on Informatica experience.
  • Must-Have Skills & Required Depth
  • Skill Depth Required
  • ETL Tools (Informatica preferred) Must have built production-grade ETL pipelines using PowerCenter or similar tools. Includes complex mappings (e.g., Lookup, Aggregator), session tuning, parameter file setup, and Dev/Test/Prod promotion processes.
  • Advanced SQL Strong capability in complex joins, nested subqueries, CTEs, and window functions (ROW_NUMBER, RANK). Able to optimize SQL with EXPLAIN PLAN, indexing strategies, and large dataset handling.
  • Unix Command
  • Line & Scripting Daily command-line usage for file navigation, log checks, and permission management. Able to write basic shell scripts (bash/ksh) and schedule ETL-related cron jobs.
  • Data Modeling
  • Concepts Familiarity with star and snowflake schemas, SCD Type 1/2, surrogate key logic, and schema mapping. Experience contributing to dimensional models in active projects.

  • Deduplication Experience building validation logic, hash-key-based deduplication, and reconciliation reporting in ETL flows.
  • Scheduler Integration Configured and maintained Control-M or Autosys workflows with dependencies, alerts, and SLAs.
  • Version Control (Git) Familiar with Git-based workflows for ETL development. Participated in branching, merging, and pull request management within CI pipelines.
  • PL/SQL or Python Authored supporting scripts for API ingestion, transformation logic, and procedure-based ETL extensions.
  • Agile & DevOps Worked in Agile teams using Scrum. Participated in backlog grooming, code reviews, and CI/CD deployment pipelines for ETL artifacts.
  • Data Visualization
  • Tools Used Tableau, Power BI, or similar to validate outputs, generate lineage dashboards, or support data quality monitoring.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • ? Design, develop, and promote ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or equivalent ETL platforms
  • ? Author and optimize SQL queries for joins, deduplication, and complex transformation logic ? Integrate validation, exception handling, and restart logic in ETL pipelines ? Collaborate with architects on schema design, SCD handling, and surrogate key generation ? Monitor workflow performance, troubleshoot failures, and apply tuning best practices
