- *VPN Migration from Cisco to Azure - Candidate Knowledge Requirements*
- 1. Networking Fundamentals
- IP addressing, subnets, routing
- DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewall rules
- VPN protocols (IKEv2, IPsec, SSL/TLS)
- 2. Cisco AnyConnect Knowledge
- Understanding of current AnyConnect configuration
- Familiarity with Cisco ASA or Firepower devices
- Group policies, tunnel groups, and authentication methods
- 3. Microsoft Azure Networking
- Azure Virtual Network (VNet) and Subnet configuration
- Azure VPN Gateway (Route-based vs Policy-based)
- Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs) and User-Defined Routes (UDRs)
- 4. Azure VPN Configuration
- Site-to-Site (S2S) and Point-to-Site (P2S) VPN setup
- Azure Certificate and RADIUS authentication
- Azure AD integration (optional but powerful)
- 5. Identity & Access Management
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Conditional Access Policies
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- 6. Security & Compliance
- Encryption standards and compliance requirements
- Logging and monitoring (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher)
- 7. Scripting & Automation (Optional but Valuable)
- PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation
- ARM templates or Bicep for infrastructure as code
- Note: Make sure candidate should have hands on experience in all the above skill set
