Job Description

  • About the Role
  • We�re looking for highly skilled backend engineers to work with our core engineering team on building and scaling backend features for our HR tech platform.
  • You�ll be expected to deliver clean, modular code, make thoughtful architectural decisions, and ship production-quality features with minimal supervision. We treat contractors as engineering partners � not task-runners.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • ? Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs using Python (FastAPI)
  • ? Translate feature specs into scalable backend logic and services
  • ? Build modular, well-tested, and documented code
  • ? Collaborate with internal engineers, PMs, and QA for delivery
  • ? Write unit/integration tests and help maintain backend quality standards
  • ? Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions
  • ? Own your work from API contract to deployment (CI/CD exposure preferred)
  • Must-Have Skills
  • ? Strong proficiency in Python and real-world experience with FastAPI
  • ? Solid understanding of REST API design, request lifecycle, and HTTP principles
  • ? Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • ? Comfortable writing unit and integration tests
  • ? Familiarity with Docker and backend deployment practices
  • ? Ability to write clean, production-grade, scalable code
  • ? Excellent communication and documentation skills in English

  • ? Experience in HR tech, SaaS, or high-growth startups
  • ? Familiarity with Celery, Redis, or async programming in Python
  • ? Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infra (AWS/GCP), observability tooling
  • ? Use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) in your workflow
  • ? Open source contributions or technical blogs
