Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Kotlin on the JVM.
• Build and evolve RESTful APIs and internal service contracts supporting core platform capabilities.
• Own feature development from design through production release and postlaunch support.

Systems & Integrations

• Implement backend components supporting integrations with CRMs and thirdparty platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
• Ensure reliability and consistency of data flows across distributed services.
• Contribute to eventdriven pipelines and asynchronous processing where applicable.

Quality, Performance & Reliability

• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and concurrency risks.
• Participate in oncall rotations and support production incident resolution.

Technical Collaboration

• Participate in design discussions and provide input on service boundaries and data models.
• Review code from peers and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams on deployment, monitoring, and scalability.

Required Qualifications

• 4–6 years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong handson experience with Kotlin (or Java with significant Kotlin exposure).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and JVM performance.
• Experience with relational databases and schema design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloudbased deployments.
