Shift: There will be three shifts for the DBA track (24/7, rotational shift):

• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with handson experience in database upgrade version of 23ai.

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Apps DBA who has handson expertise in database upgrades (19c → 23ai), patching, cloning automation, Data guard, and supporting EBS R12 environments. The role focuses heavily on database patching on Hexa DB (nonOCI), applying CPU/PSU patches, managing invalid objects, and supporting Oracle EBS application patching. The candidate should also have exposure to Ansible automation, code migration processes, and optionally Demantra (WebLogicbased) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Oracle DB Migration (Primary Scope)
  • Lead and execute database migration from Oracle 19c to 23ai.
  • Perform compatibility analysis, preupgrade checks, patch analysis, and postupgrade validations.
  • Manage Hexa DB environment (nonOCI DB architecture) and perform required patching activities.
• 2. Database & EBS Patching
  • Apply EBS application patches using ADOP and handle patch cycles (prepare, apply, finalize, cutover).
  • Apply database PSU/CPU patches, oneoffs, and interim patches.
  • Identify and fix invalid objects, patch failures, and compilation issues.
  • Handle patch conflicts, adop cleanup, and edition patching.
• 3. EBS Cloning & Automation
  • Perform EBS R12 cloning (apps + DB) – production to test, dev, and sandbox.
  • Automate cloning activities using scripts (Shell, SQL, PL/SQL, Python/Ansible is a plus).
  • Validate postclone steps: workflow services, concurrent managers, mailer, host name changes.
• 4. EBS Application Administration
  • Manage EBS components: Weblogic / OACORE, Concurrent Managers, Workflow, Apache, Forms, Reports.
  • Resolve issues related to concurrent managers, cache problems, log errors, tuning, CM queues.
• 5. Dataguard / DR Support
  • Support DR environments.
  • Apply CPU patches in Dataguard setups using methods like: Switchover & patch, Rolling upgrade using DBMSROLLING (if applicable).
  • Sync primary/standby after patching.
• 6. Code Migration & Deployment
  • Work with development teams to deploy custom objects (DB objects, RICE components).
  • Manage migrations using: FNDLOAD, adutilities, SQL/PLSQL scripts.
  • Validate customizations postmigration.
