  • Cyber Security Specialist/Vulnerability Remediation Analyst
  • Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
  • Vulnerability Remediation & Management:
  • Proven experience in vulnerability remediation and vulnerability management.
  • Ability to review and triage remediation tickets.
  • Experience with vulnerability testing/assessment.
  • Ability to track remediation status and provide regular updates (e.g., weekly status reports).
  • Experience in reducing the number of open security findings. (Example: reducing 20 findings to 10 within a week)
  • Security Operations & Incident Response:
  • Understanding of 24/7 security operations.
  • Familiarity with on-call responsibilities within a security engineering team.
  • Experience with PagerDuty for incident alerting.
  • Ticketing & Workflow Management:
  • Proficiency in reviewing and triaging tickets using JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Experience with tracking remediation tickets using JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Security Tool Proficiency:
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools like Qualys.
  • Familiarity with cloud security posture management tools like Wiz.
  • Experience with GitHub security features.
  • Familiarity with Archer for risk management.
  • Experience with Seemplicity (CISO is pushing implementation).
  • Security Automation:
  • Knowledge and experience in security automation.
  • Reporting & Communication:
  • Ability to prepare and deliver slide deck status updates.
  • Ability to track and report on budget status.
  • Penetration Testing (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with penetration testing is a plus.
  • Key Considerations for Qualification:
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of vulnerability remediation processes.
  • Experience with the specified security tools is crucial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 security operations environment.
  • Ability to provide status updates to management.
  • Experience with security automation.
  • Experience with budget tracking.
