  • About the Role
  • We are looking for a Senior Backend WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in WordPress development, focusing on backend architecture, plugin development, database optimization, and API integrations. You will work on scalable, high-performance WordPress applications and contribute to system architecture and security best practices.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • A. Custom Plugin Development: Build and maintain WordPress plugins with clean and efficient code.
  • B. Theme & Backend Customization: Extend and modify themes as per business requirements.
  • C. Database & Performance Optimization: Optimize MySQL queries, caching, and overall site performance.
  • D. API Integrations: Develop and manage REST APIs for third-party integrations.
  • E. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities like SQL injection and XSS.
  • F. Version Control & CI/CD: Work with Git, Bitbucket, and automated deployment pipelines.
  • G. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and fix backend issues efficiently.
  • H. Scalability & Server Management: Optimize WordPress installations for high-traffic environments.
  • Skills & Qualifications
  • ? Strong PHP & WordPress Core expertise (6+ years)
  • ? Experience with WordPress Hooks, Actions, and Filters
  • ? Proficiency in MySQL & Database Optimization
  • ? Custom Theme & Plugin Development
  • ? Experience with REST APIs & OAuth Authentication
  • ? Familiarity with Headless WordPress & GraphQL (preferred)
  • ? Strong knowledge of caching (Redis, Memcached) & CDN integration
  • ? Understanding of security best practices & performance tuning
  • ? Experience with Docker, Nginx, or Apache (preferred)
  • ? Familiarity with modern JS frameworks like React or Vue (bonus)
  • ? Git & Agile development workflow experience
